The moment their priority shifts to increasing profit at the expense of the Citizens, their entire fortune is confiscated, their corporations nationalized, and they are imprisoned.

We can argue about the racism, the sexism, the classism, and all that for a real long time but ultimately a few evil people won’t last against a population that actually cares and a few caring people won’t last against a population that allows themselves to be duped by obvious racism, sexism, etc.
