Because the U.S. sat at the table with nazis to try to appease them and now the nazis are in charge and the country won’t get a damn thing for trying to be nice because nazis.

I said that years ago but times change. The nonsense they need to convince themselves of is absolutely wild and it must take a herculian daily effort on their part to maintain their collective insanity if we decide to say they aren’t stupid.
So much of what they hear should qualify as the moment they went “hey, wait a second” but they just keep on going deeper and deeper. They are fools and everyone else needs to deal with that.
TL;DR: more brain-dead fools who, at their core, genuinely do care about the working class but are too stupid to see the mountain of evidence to show that Trump’s “love” for the working class is as real as unicorn farts. Others also want “change” even if that change is them going from having rights to not having rights, and a few are the worthless protest voters as well.
I honestly still don’t get it, but I don’t have the level of brainrot of these people so maybe that’s a good thing.
As someone who turned off autocorrect fifteen years ago and cares about things like spelling, grammar, and compostion I can pretty confidently say that emojis have many valid uses. Text, especially quick text, is not very good at conveying subtle meaning in a clear way. Emojis though? They do amazingly, especially when it’s a face, because in normal conversations we have body language and even over the phone we can clearly convey a tone of voice. Body language is the emoji library of face-to-face communication.
TL;DR: emojis are popular because they’re highly effective.
Because it is still his job and because they need all the goodwill they can get if they want a sliver of a chance in 2028.
I feel like it’s simply widened the divide that was already present. There have always been people that care and people that don’t but now the people that care have the resources to do something about it and the people that don’t have easy access to that which reinforces their lack of caring.
What, the country with all the resources but still ranks 36th in literacy and 54% of their adults can’t even read above a 6th grade level?
I feel like we did this to ourselves over generations, probably even hundreds of years, and it’s purely a fear response based in the fact we can’t help but allow the worst kinds of people to “lead” us.
Moderates are what you get when you essentially selectively breed for those “neurotypical” people who can quietly work 9-5 jobs without complaining(read: standing up for themselves) and who are totally ok with “not rocking the boat” by demanding respect at their workplaces. They’re the people who take twice as long to do anything but they’ll show up at 8:30am like good little zombies and act like their deep burnout is just a fact of life because if it wasn’t then that makes them have to consider doing literally anything about it.
I know too many people in my field who are afraid of their bosses and they are the ones the bosses like even if they do worse work. So us “neurodivergent” people are pushed out of jobs because we even politely ask for a little of what corporate propoganda says it cares about on its “about us” page. You cannot be careful enough with their feelings because they do not care and no amount of being moderate will appease them.
The worst part is that Hitler only killed himself(and his family) because he knew the Russians would never let him die a quick death. It was to save himself, not because he regretted a damn thing or felt an ounce of remorse. These people don’t learn.
Trump’s numbers have actually so far been worse(I mean, a lot of them fucking died from covid for one).
I highly doubt being a woman was the reason they lost when there are a million very clear and obvious bad aspects to their strategies. There was so much courting of the right you’d think they were the Republicans of 20 years ago and not Democrats.
People still should have voted against Trump but a vote should be for someone you like and not against some you don’t.
It wasn’t the women. Hillary was awful as a person and Harris came in with such energy only to crush it by trying to court the right because the DNC at large would rather lose than be actual, left-wing competition. Right-wingers are all-or-nothing right now and you can’t convince them of fucking anything.
When Trump was against another old man he did great because not only was Biden the same as what I just mentioned he was also an old white man which people are rightly sick of. Once Harris showed up Trump fell to fucking pieces and the only people who killed Kamala’s momentum were of her own party.
Being a woman, if anything, helped a lot.
Just so people know the article actually doesn’t have any of that information but it looks like there are links and it talks about a document where you can learn that stuff more directly. They seem solid, just don’t expect the article to actually have the words.
The people with the most privilege to ignore things are the ones who have safety nets to cushion them. If you aren’t in that group then you really shouldn’t be hiding from the news. If you are, then you are in a group that has money and possibly influence, and which can draw the ears of people who have written off minority groups but might still listen to you. You don’t have to break yourself over it but plugging your ears and getting shat on later isn’t going to do anything.
Like anything stressful but important sometimes ya just gotta find ways to deal with it. Knowing what’s happening, at least somewhat, is important.
They’re different, even if they’re very similar. The important part is that they look different, too, because if you talked about all the white immigrants taking the white-collar jobs people would have to actually think beyond just a face-value assessment. Brown is bad is a lot easier than person over there could be anything so I need to talk to them and form even a basic relationship with them to figure out what’s going on and by then I might not be able to hate them so absolutely.
The people who have enough privilege to ignore the news are the ones who can do the most to fix things.
“I didn’t think anything of it.”
Yes, we know. Not thinking is common all over the spectrum because humans™ but it’s a pre-requisite to being anything right of center.
I hate reading this stuff because these fucking ass-wipes always seem so surprised after the consequences happen and even then someone usually needs to point it out to them. Like “how could I have known???” and it’s like “very easily! It was painfully obvious and everyone was telling you including credible experts!”
I think I’m gunna follow the example of the smarter people in your life and leave this conversation. Peace out ✌️
The modern rich are so uncreative, it’s quite sad.
0% of the time it works every time.
