  • Not even normal soldiers, but as decoration. They’ll be there to make him look good, for “optics”, and will serve the same function as furniture and wall art. All for a talk that is about army fitness and not anything requiring terribly delicate security?

If they have any self-respect they’ll be talking amongst eachother right now saying the same shit and deciding not to go. Besides, if security is the reason they should all be gathered then security is also the reason why that’s a terrible idea.

  • Because the person I replied was trying to say that the person they replied to was falling for propaganda and compared it to call millenials lazy. We know for a fact that millenials generally work harder, and for less, than the older generations that were/are doing the complaining. In this case, we the older generation is complaining about Gen Z not being nearly as progressive as one would expect, even to the point where we can say they actually have a problem with conservatism, and the statistics back that up as fact.

TL;DR: “millenials are lazy” is made up to try to pay us less despite the statistics showing it to be a huge lie and “GenZ has way too many conservatives” is an observable fact complete with actual numbers.

  • School didn’t teach me much of anything in regards to history, and my post-secondary education was in regards to buildings, not politics. I’ve never really understood the “education” argument when so many educated people I know are honestly pretty dumb save for the highly specific thing they’re trained in, and even then you can tell they were good enough at school to pass and that that doesn’t necessarily mean they can do their jobs well. School, in my experience, can even be quite difficult if you have a bad professor and go outside the bounds(I had mostly good ones and two that pretty much no student, or even some other professors, has ever truly liked but who unfortunately ran the program).

For me it’s about curiosity, mostly. I have plenty of gaps in my own knowledge but I try to actually learn stuff as I go.
