A Michigan defense lawyer is disputing FBI allegations that his 20-year-old client and four other young suspects were planning to carry out a terror attack on Halloween weekend.
Authorities with the FBI and in Michigan have offered few details about the case, however as he announced the arrests on Friday, FBI Director Kash Patel said more information would be released. Spokespersons for the state and national FBI and the U.S. Attorney in Detroit did not immediately respond to messages Saturday.
Americans are so inadequately inept at stopping crime, that I wouldn’t be surprised if one day the President of the United States of America was compromised by the Russians and started destroying their country to favour their holders.
Could you even imagine that happening? Luckily it’ll never happen with Kash on the job.
“Pfft that’s as likely to happen as anyone ever electing another Bush.”
- me circa 1999

There’s a Jon Lajoie song called “Pop Song”. It’s basically a song mocking how all radio friendly pop songs sound the same.
The reason I bring this up is there is a 3 second clip of the song that I wish were isolated on youtube.
The lyric is something along the lines of:
“And you assume the general public would be too smart to listen to the same fucking song again…BUT YOU WERE WROOOOOONG!!!”
And I want that part at the end, “BUT YOU WERE WROOOOONG!!!” to be isolated. I want to post just that 3 seconds when someone says something that’s clearly wrong, or will be proven wrong soon.
Kind of like when the kids say vapes are healthy, unlike cigerettes. Then as they get the news from their doctor that they have a new previously undiscovered strain of cancer, they’d tell the doctor they thought vapes were safe.
BUT YOU WERE WROOOOOONG!!!
And I’d like to play that sound clip to you, circa 1999. Then we’d inevitably talk about The Matrix. Because it’s 1999.
Inadequately…inept.
The first clue was the notion that the FBI is capable of stopping a terror attack. The FBI has a storied history of being completely incompetent, and I really don’t think that Kash Patel is capable of the level of leadership and rational thought required to change that.
Previously, they were at least good at entrapping poor misguided people whom they gave plans and weapons to, only to sweep them up at the last second after helping to create the situation so they could scream “We stopped a terrorist.” A terrorist they were also actually responsible for creating.
Yet I agree, I don’t think Kash Patel’s FBI is even able to do that convincingly or successfully.
Basically every ‘terror plot’ they’ve uncovered since 9/11 involved the FBI working out the plan and providing everything to the suspect, but somehow without it crossing the legal line into entrapment.
Echoes of the Bowling Green Massacre. Lest we forget.
Too soon!
I mean that’s just defense lawyering 101. It’d be more surprising if he didn’t make this statement.
Another set of Trumped up charges.
Probably arrested them for a killer kegger that they had planned
