This is 100%, no-shit absolutely true.
It’s not that it took 200 years for a President to understand that, it’s just that all Presidents since then and until trump weren’t demented sociopath rapists who couldn’t be arsed to think of the good of anyone else.
Using the law enforcement arm to specifically commit national crimes against citizens was more often than not considered what it was; treason.
No fucking shit, Sherlock, what gave it the fuck away?
Garland was more than happy to prosecute all the goofy little J6ers
Was this a problem?
The DOJ has always been a kind-of weapon, intended to legitimize the use of force against enemies of the state.
So, nobody told Merrick?
This is a good substack newsletter. Like Wonkette. But my Wonkette articles got deleted from this comm for not being good enough.
“Kaczynski was one of his students. Do you know who Kaczynski was? There’s very little difference between a madman and a genius,” he said. Trump then said he once asked his uncle about the Unabomber.
“What kind of a student was he, Uncle John? He said: ‘What kind of a student — seriously, good … he’d go around correcting everybody. But it didn’t work out too well for him. Didn’t work out too well, but it’s interesting in life,’” Trump said.
Don’t send bombs through the mail, me boys! But it was too late.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A sixth-generation farmer from northeast Arkansas announced Tuesday that she is seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge Sen. Tom Cotton, the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee who is seeking a third term.
Hallie Shoffner of Newport announced her bid for the nomination to unseat Cotton, who was first elected to the Senate and is widely viewed as a potential 2028 presidential hopeful.
“I’ll cut taxes for blue-collar workers, fight to restore Medicaid, save Social Security, cut the deficit, and be radically focused on bringing costs down for regular people,” Shoffner said in a release. “I’ll fight this rigged system every day — Tom Cotton’s the guy who did the rigging.”
Okay “lefties” - your turn. Who do you have for Arkansas Senate? No one? Hm.
Being the willing victims of military psychological warfare through social media and propping up a demented rapist to enforce fascism on an otherwise distracted country.
The fuck it is. This shit is goddamned unholy. Or whatever.
Yeah. This sometimes known as “a contradiction”, or in many cases “outright fucking hypocrisy”.
As one does.
Rail Barons?
Curse you, Rail Barons!
Also his new clothes are - quite . . so . . very.
Jebus, Marie and Jospeh! What a maroon.
I think a lot of people specifically avoid reading news about it. They do not notice in their scrolling when google tucks an ad in there, though.
I read it as “this is the political reality of the housing situation. If you don’t have a plan to overcome this reality, your ideology isn’t at issue.”
That’s not blaming the “leftists” for NIMBY. That’s stating that NIMBY and zoning laws are what the “leftists” or anyone else who’s trying to get housing for people has to deal with.
When he says “I don’t care how much you love working people” what I think he’s saying is, and I’m going to paraphrase here so bear in mind this is not his actual words but my subjective interpretation; “‘Leftists’ - people who are unable or unwilling to identify as Democrats because they are so pure of ideology and full of naïevite want to help working people but THEY HAVE NO PLAN TO DO SO that doesn’t involve magic hand-waving, or the immediate total restructuring of American democracy itself, and therefore ARE UNABLE TO DO SO. Therefore their very loud pronouncements of love for working people is irrelevant. People who actually love working people find ways to get things done for them.”
So to recap; NIMBY isn’t the fault of evil leftists, it’s just one of the hurdles anyone trying to get housing built needs to overcome, and so-called leftists can yap all day about helping the working class, but if they can’t do anything for them what’s the point?
I didn’t take them out of context.
You did.
He admitted he thinks there are some great candidates that we should support but doesn’t have the courage to back the one needing it most, or alternatively he doesn’t support him.
He voiced support for the candidates he was there to voice support for. He was not talking about Mamdani by design, as stated. Saying he ignored him is the definition of taking him out of context.
I didn’t imply he dissed mamdani, just that he’s a coward for not talking about one of the most watched races in the country at the moment.
Do you even hear yourself.
The DNC is actively not supporting the winner of a dem primary.
I’m also not saying he’s mean. He’s either a coward or doesn’t care. Possibly both.
Okay we’re done.
You deliberately took his words out of context so you could lambast him with an imaginary dis of Mamdani.
The NJ race is a former Navy pilot who already beat five other candidates for this race. You want to say no one else had a chance? She won four terms in the US Congress. It’s her or the republiQan now; you had four years to get someone “who would help people” and once again there’s nothing.
This is bullshit “leftist” whingeing that mean old Obama and the mean old DNC are keeping the socialists down with their cheatin’ ways and it’s bullshit.
Socialists, communists, and whatever ist you wanna ist still have to run, still have to raise and spend large amounts of money, and still have to put up with mindless attacks from the right and, now, “left” to get into a position to help people and that’s before they do a single thing in office. It’s really difficult and mostly boring so if you can’t be bothered to find someone to support, try not to cast us down the well of fascist incompetence again.
Look, it’s simply not possible to strangle a guy and break his neck in less than three minutes. It takes, ooh, like, thirty minutes, minimum. So, fake news, obvs
