The Supreme Court will consider staying an order that limits ICE agents from stopping people based on "apparent ethnicity."

    This is already illegal.

Racial profiling is considered illegal in the United States as it violates the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause, which guarantees all individuals protection from discrimination based on race or ethnicity.

Also, if there is no suspicion of a crime, it is illegal to detain someone. Otherwise that’s kidnapping.

These issues have been litigated many times.

Sometimes, I don’t even know why the state option is popular in Puerto Rico. It definitely is; they’ve had two official but non-binding referendum on this in the recent past, and the statehood option was a clear winner. Won by good margins over both maintaining current status or going independent.

Ultimately, I think it should be up to the people of PR to decide what they want to do, but geeze, this isn’t a great time to join the Union.

To be fair, they’re already part of the Union whether they want to or not, it’s more a matter of if they get to have political representation or not.

They made a huge mistake with POTUS the first time by not sending their children to felate him when he showed up to throw paper towels after hurricane Maria.

The only way for Puerto Rico to become a state is if they all turned Republican and white.

Spy magazine ran a great cartoon back in the early '90s which I can’t find anywhere online. It was captioned “Clarence Thomas greets the day” and it showed him bending down on his front porch to pick up the newspaper with a negro stable boy lawn statue next to him.

Reality really is stranger than fiction sometimes.

Society tends to repeat on approximately 80-100 year cycles. Just long enough for the generations affected by bullshit to lose their voices and die.

Society tends to repeat on approximately 80-100 year cycles.

American society. And it’s been closely shown to hold since when America attacked Canada, of all places.

Other countries have their own cycles. Consider the 11-year Canada goose purge cycle that affects your friends to the north. It’s not spoken of but, like seal clubbing, a periodic culling is required to prevent them invading and burning the Library of Parliament and goosey sanchez-ing the last copy of the Declaration upon Dependence. It’s a little backward up there.
