I think people sometimes fail to realize the only reason LGBTQ folks are assumed to be liberal/left-leaning is because that’s the only side that hasn’t been advocating for at least light genocide for ages. It has nothing to do with being non-straight, and everything to do with historical/cultural context. So of course there are gay fascists. You can find idiots and assholes in any group.

LGBTQ conservatives continue to be the dumbest people I can imagine.
They were in the same place then as conservative LGBT+ people are now. There was no Final Solution yet. They didn’t think they were those kind of Jews. And if the GOP gets their way and queer people start getting rounded up, they will realize they were those kind of queer people.
The difference is that there Jews for Hitler didn’t have the benefit of history being written already. So they were actually less stupid.
It’s not the only genocide in history, and it’s not the only one that had quislings either.

You will be surprised (or not) at how many LGBTQ people are just straight up racists that love the right wing policies. They just don’t realize (or care) that they are targets by those same groups too.

Every single modern republican has been mislead.

A lot of them probably did because the right openly accepted non-white and LGBTQ+ people into their ranks when they all banded together to oppose the lockdowns. They were absolutely right to do so then, but now the pendulum of oppression has swung the other way, so they’ll abandon the right and go to the left until the left does something else insane.
We desperately need an independent third party in the U.S.
They absolutely did not accept non-white and LGBTQ people during COVID, the COVID era was the Trump Administration. Lockdowns were a Trump policy and it was specifically because he didn’t do enough early enough to contain infections.
The whole GOP used hate-based politics for decades. Absolutely none of this is shiny and new!
