I am going to be more generous to people, there is a saying that you should be charitable to people and ruthless to systems.
Much of the Republican base ultimately have the same hardships as working class democrats, but republicans are able to exploit those hardships and stoke racism sentiment.
The white supremacists and bigots can get fucked, but the majority of people are exploited workers looking for an answer to how to feed their families. I am by no means saying republicans will give to them, they will make it worse, but in a word where you are looking for food, you aren’t going to be looking at the true underlying platform of the candidates

When most humans are idiots or ignorant (they are), direct democracy doesn’t work. And other forms of democracy also don’t work that well. But the alternative is… authoritarianism, which also doesn’t work.
The only way to achieve a truly liberated society is to have a direct democracy of a well-informed populace and an elimination of social hierarchies, but that’s just a pipe dream… any form of socialism that isn’t Marxist-Leninism or “Democratic Socialism” (begging the capitalists to pls give us at least a crumb of socialism, the false belief that socialism is achievable through peaceful reform under an inequal/capitalist society) is never gonna happen.

The UAW endorsed Biden. This gets weird, because many blame Biden for ending the rail strike, which he did, and which echoes the Bush Sr. Foul play with ATCs and pilots. But in exchange for ending the strike they got nearly everything they were asking for in the first place. Fain plays hardball and has probably gotten more for unions and their members than almost anyone, if he’s okay with Biden, I’m inclined to agree.

To your last comment, they always go back to the one time trump was asked about the war and his response was “I just want people to stop dying” it doesn’t make any sense to me, if you’re going to hang on to a few words someone says than you should also hang on to EVERYTHING else they say too.
