15·8 days agoThere’s also 1 million more people than in 1989 and (I think?) a larger portion of NYCers are registered dems now. So that’s not actually that good. We should break turnout records every year if our population grows.

If you’re gonna spread a message, at least use reliable sources. This article is just poorly written.

Most local politicians I know don’t get paid (school board, commissioners, etc) or they get paid very little for the time they put in.
If you count up all the elected folks in the USA, less than 1% are what you think of as “politicians.” They are mostly just people you see at the grocery store
PSA: you don’t have to start every post with “I cheated on my boyfriend,” especially when it’s irrelevant to the post

15·27 days agoLike you said, it’s not new information that Tik Tok hides posts on certain topics and promotes posts on other topics though, so it isn’t surprising either way. I’ll add that they do it with more than just pro-China content
