House Democrats are fuming after a pair of centrist members once again defied their party leaders by voting to help advance a key White House priority — the second time in recent weeks.
Such a quick turn around in again showing how Democrats are literally worthless.
No. 2 Democrats are worthless. Vote for better ones, outnumber them. Don’t throw this “both sides are the same” “don’t bother” rhetoric around. It doesn’t solve jack shit.
The problem is these kinds of defections have exactly zero consequences. And it’s a roulette wheel of defectors making sure that there’s just enough votes to pass trump’s agenda.
Which makes it look rather… orchestrated.
The current party leadership is fucking useless. They sit around, do nothing, let themselves get steamrolled and then wonder why no one wants to vote for them.
It’s called rotating villans. Only a few Dems (in this case 2) have to go to the other side and take the hit for all the other Dems, and like you said it goes unpunished.
It’s unsurprising, really, when Schumer did the same thing himself. especially after telling others not to. that was in the senate, but it’s all part of a whole.
“Senator Schumer knew we were meeting with Senator Thune,” Shaheen said. She started filling him in “as soon as we started meeting with Republicans” — the day after the government shut down.
Asked if Schumer was supportive of the bipartisan talks, Shaheen deflected. “I think you’d have to ask him that,” she said.
But asked if Schumer ever tried to dissuade her from these negotiations, Shaheen simply said, “No.”
Weird how they can always find just the right number of Dems willing to vote with Republicans, don’t you think? It’s almost as if both parties are working together…

Pretty much. Remember the shutdown that folded like a cheap Democrat?

It is orchestrated
Isn’t it weird there’s always a few turncoats when they’re needed?
For enough money or blackmail any politician can be bought, and you would be surprised how small the amount of money turns out to be
it’s 5 figures or less. we could crowdfund one. just need to file the paperwork as a superpac properly
You’re being very naive. 2 Dems defected because Republicans needed 2 votes. If they needed 21 votes 21 Dems would defect:

Yawn, wake me when the Democratic leadership actually doles out consequences for these assholes.
