Over the last few days I’ve added full support for creating and viewing crossposts, so check it out!

There’s also been other features added like mod banning, follow the Github releases for more.

View crossposts

When Voyager detects a crosspost, it will now automatically render it in the UI. This makes it quick and easy to see # of comments and post score of the crossposted content. It also makes it much easier to navigate to the original post!

It’s also supported in compact mode!

If you don’t like this behavior, you can disable it in Settings -> Appearance -> Embed Crossposts.

Create crossposts

You can now crosspost anything to a community! Try it out and let me know what you think.

Agree and same here, always going back to Lemmy, and only because someone posted months ago about an amazing progressive web app called voyager. :-)

Only recently moved to the app. Buttery smooth either way.

Everyday, Voyager gets closer to the perfection that was Apollo. Thank you so much for your hard work.

After a few days of testing, I think this feature is really working very well. Thanks.

How does Voyager detect cross-posts? If I search for ‘cross-post’ (like in the screenshot) I get results, but there are a lot of posts where the web interface says “cross-posted to…” that aren’t detected.

Edit: Also… Thanks!! Love this app and appreciate all your work on it!

Voyager just checks for the “cross-posted” in the body of the post. Its not perfect though. If its a non-lemmy post, it will fail currently. Also if the post isn’t resolved then it will fail.

      Github issues welcome :)

Crosspost support is fantastic! It has been working well, thanks.

Are there any plans for an option to hide crossposts, or is that something that will come via future lemmy updates? (Eg detection and hiding of duplicate links shared across multiple communities)

Thanks! I’ve thought about that, I think that’s something best to wait for Lemmy to do. It would be difficult to do in the front end only.
