There will also be some set of people that the first ad reaches but the second doesn’t. For some people, it will just undermine their faith in “the media” - “can’t believe anything these days” - which also may play into the hands of those thriving on deception and misinformation.

Those people were going to vote for Trump no matter what because they look for every little sign of support for Trump, no matter how ludicrous it is.
