As to real populists in politics, there aren’t many, because they kill them in the cradle in the west, just as they are trying to do with Fein because he spoke against Israel’s genocide.
In the US, we don’t have a single white populist in government that I’m aware of. Just a smattering of minority ones, that are only marginally sabotaged because they can’t win, and because their districts are overwhelmingly progressive. Often because gerrymandering packs a few districts with dems so they can crack other districts.
But it follows across the west. All real populism has been quashed, and all left parties seized by the oligarchy and turned into controlled opposition or call them what you will. The few actual left parties, like france unbowed, idk what their deal is. Surely sabotaged, but how much do they suck not being able to compete? Idk the story there.

The next democrat president is going to be left at most with just satellite photos and the depleted goodwill of allies that haven’t demolished their intelligence agencies.

As an American who is not a chauvinist, America failing is a good thing. Our government is an existential threat to the human species, and that didn’t start with Trump.
And you forget to capitalize the word Democrat. Democrat and democrat are mutually exclusive words that have nothing to do with each other.

On one hand, the CIA is becoming even more evil. On the other hand, it’s also becoming more incompetent. This is giving me mixed feelings.
I’m pretty sure the incompetence is just letting more evil slip through to observers.
They also just don’t care what happens to it. Trump trusts Russian intelligence more than any other agency he commands.

Their are two parts of the CIA. There are annalists who study and prepare briefings for leadership. Then their are the spooks who do all of the stuff the CIA is famous for.
The second part of the CIA should be abolished. Even someone who’s supportive of the mission could conclude that the US would be better off without the clandestine CIA than with it. The history of failure would be funny if it didn’t get so many innocent people killed and worse.

You quite simply do not have the info needed to come to this conclusion. You don’t actually know what that arm of the CIA actually does, only the fictional portrayals of it in TV and movies.
The second part will never be abolished. Presidents need a way to advance national objectives while having deniability within and without.
Congress is of course failing to fucking check them on this. At best the Democrats can only send public letters expressing “severe concerns” about what they know.
