People are not allowed to disagree or not like? What’s the downvote button even for then?
I also read a post about downvoted content being “buried”, so I guess most people have their feed by Hot and that’s why? And what would be wrong with that anyway?
New gang till death, I like my content chronologically.
ps: What was that site you could see your upvotes/downvotes? I’m curious about my ratio and how grumpy I have become.
edit: I should have been more clear, I’m talking more about mods being touchy. If a random user gets mad that he was downvoted, there’s not much they can do, but there are mods banning people for downvotes lol

I think most clients will have an option to display upvotes/downvotes separately.
Voyager certainly does, anyway…
I mean, I always see on https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/yepowertrippinbastards people that got banned because they downvoted posts.
Mods can see votes in their communities without needing external tools.

That does happen. Has happened to me in fact. But you asked about ‘ratio’ so I assumed you were interested in the upvote vs downvote counts. Not who was voting how.
Seems odd that you would complain about people being touchy about downvotes, and then want to go see who’s up and downvoting you, though.
I want to see how often I upvote and downvote stuff (my ratio, to see “how grumpy I have become”), it would be an immense pain in the ass to check random users individually to see who might have downvoted or upvoted something I said, and I’d be dead before I cared about what a random person on the internet thinks of me anyway :P
ps: it’s about 1 downvote for every 9 upvotes for posts, and 1 for every 20 for comments
Ahh - makes more sense. Apparently whatever site you can see this at shows that my ratio isn’t great? So I’ve been told.
I browse by New and run into a lot more…cruft…than the average lemming though. That’s my explanation, anyway. I don’t feel like I’m grumpy and I feel like my post and comment history is in line with that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
it’s https://lemvotes.org/ (thanks dohpaz42@lemmy.world)
haha, yeah, perhaps browsing by New instead of Hot might be responsible for amount of downvotes :P
