At this point, what would even happen if Congress said “no, this war isn’t legal” given you can’t just be like “sorry, Iran, the president overstepped his authority” after murdering school children?

The whole 60 day thing is already ridiculous for that reason, but we’re already well beyond that. So even in a situation where Congress worked (lol) it seems like this wouldn’t matter.

The house and the senate can vote to make the war illegal.

      Trump can veto.

The house and the Senate can vote to override the veto.

      Trump can ignore it.

The house can vote to impeach, and senate can vote to impose a penalty, up to and including removing trump and/or hegseth from office.

      That’s how the rules work.

All while the war continues and would continue anyway because Iran would have to sign off on ending the war. It’s all so very stupid.

Building? It’s built, utilities are on, slaves are in the basement, pool is surrounded by Eastern European children, and trump is sleeping in his BJ chair.

Not really. The issue doesn’t become a constitutional crisis until two groups are actively opposing each other’s actions. Right not, Congress isn’t opposing President Trump’s illegal actions.

It’s not between the executive and the legislative branches yet, but the judiciary has been ordering the executive to do things for a year and they keep ignoring the rulings. Ice has ignored hundreds and hundreds of court orders and has been caught lying in court at least as many times.
