Be aware that the claim that they let this happen on purpose in this article is mainly based on the fact that patrols were cancelled.

According to The Dissident, Shitrit said during his testimony that at 5.20am on 7 October:

We were playing on the phone and suddenly a strange message came up from my deputy commander, … and what he says on the radio is something like this: ‘I don’t know why, but an order was given that there would be no patrols in the (Gaza) fence until 9am

And sure enough, an hour later, at 6.30am, suddenly sirens.

I don’t feel this is as conclusive as they present it to be.

If they normally do these patrols EVERY morning, as the testimony claims, ot’s EXTREMELY suspicious, and the evidence to counter it needs to be equally-extremely convincing.

It certainly isn’t conclusive. But I’d say it warrants further investigation. Something that is unlikely to happen.

And ultimately doesn’t matter, nothing would change even if it came out Hamas doesn’t exist and it’s just a play by the IDF

I wouldn’t be surprised if “Hamas doesn’t exist” is the next conspiracy theory that gets promoted here.
