I hope that’s your view of the Democrats introducing this bill right now, and not your view of the fight for trans people’s rights. Fighting for trans people and for immigrants are absolutely the front lines of the battle against fascism. Everyone lives behind those lines and everyone’s freedom depends on pushing those front lines forwards.

Fascists think germs harm the weak, who should die to purify the gene pool, and not the genetically superior and strong. And fascists always think they are among the superior, strong ones. Everything this administration does makes sense if you assume fascist eugenics are behind it.

I think there’s value to being specific about the rights of trans people because they are in an especially vulnerable position and are actively being denied basic rights. Yes we need rights for all, but to say “Why should trans people get special treatment with a bill like this?” at this moment has a whiff of the “all lives matter” about it.

Enforcement of what? Throughout the article the NYT uncritically uses the term “immigration enforcement” to describe what ICE is doing. This is propaganda. ICE is there to terrorize the population into submission to the fascist regime. To call it “immigration enforcement” is to leap right over the question of what the government is doing, whether they should be doing it, and how it should be honestly described, and skip straight to the matter of how they go about it. This is how the NYT tries to train its readers to overlook the big picture and get distracted into detail.

It is clear that progressive Democrats’ opposition to arms sales to Israel will only increase each time Israel has to fight its way out of a corner.

Well that’s going to happen when the “corner” is the existence of the Palestinian people and the “fight” is Israel perpetrating a genocide. You can put your propaganda spin on it, but the fact stands: Israel is committing the worst crimes against humanity and anyone with any moral sense at all would want to deny them the means to do it.

We need an open-source internet archive site that isn’t based in the USA and isn’t run by someone who’ll jeopardize the whole enterprise to attack someone’s blog. Archive.today is a great thing to exist on the Internet and I hope it continues, but we need one that we know isn’t going to host malware or vanish on us.

That said, I don’t appreciate the blogger’s urge to doxx whoever runs the archive. It’s exactly the kind of site where the admins would need security and anonymity so the US Government or another power doesn’t shut them down. If you doxx the owner you could kill the site.
