      For federal crimes. Governors can pardon people for state charges. Elections are run by the individual state governments, so interference is generally a state-level crime. This is why Trump hasn’t pardoned himself for his own interference convictions, because the violations were of state law in New York.

        If he remaind in power for the rest of his life, he doesn’t need to, that would look weak.

        But if he still alive in 2029 January and was about to lose the presidency, he would probably attempt a self-pardon. Then its up to the 6-3 conservatives in the court to decide if that’s even valid.

      Well if Musk comes out and admits that he helped rig the election them technically the president isn’t the president eh? Plus informants make deals all of the time, I don’t see how this is different
