Yeah… that’s not what’s going on here. The anti-Zionist movement in the West calls for Western countries to take diplomatic and economic action against Israel. That includes cutting ties, not selling weapons, sanctions, embargoes, etc. This is a lot more than “group X should stop killing group Y;” it’s “we should stop group X from killing group Y, at least not with our weapons”. This ruffles a lot of feathers in the political and corporate establishment for a few reasons, some rational (in a psychopathically self-interested sort of way) and some not.
I don’t think asking my government to stop arming a foreign government committing genocide should be called “anti-zionist” it’s anti-genocide.
They’re the same picture. The Gaza genocide is simply the ugly manifestation of the essence and inevitable conclusion of Zionism. What we’re looking at today is nothing more than how the Nakba would’ve looked like if Palestinians had nowhere to escape.
