In a filing Thursday, Ivanka Trump’s attorneys asked the court to throw out those subpoenas, arguing she wasn’t properly served and the state court lacks jurisdiction because she’s not a New York resident anymore.

Ivanka Trump also isn’t relevant to the case anymore, her attorneys argued, after Judge Arthur Engoron issued a summary judgment ruling before the trial that found her father and other business associates liable for fraud, narrowing the scope of what would be determined at the trial.

To her lawyers point, this is a NY State matter, not a USG matter.

To your point, it doesn’t matter at all and I hope they all get the maximum extent of the law.

It’s as if her lawyers watched Duke’s of Hazard and thinks as long as they can get over the county line then Boss Hog can’t chase after them

*11 as you cannot fluently speak Latin as many pronunciations aren’t likely accurate to the time.

There are no native Latin speakers alive, but there are some fluid speakers. It is the official language of the Vatican, after all.

It may also be useful to draw a distinction between Church Latin and classical Latin.

Still, I think it is incorrect to say that possible to speak Latin fluently.

I mean, they’re defense lawyers. Their entire purpose is to do anything they can to protect their client from the court system. This includes motions that they know good and well are going to be denied.
