US Muslim leaders who supported Republican Donald Trump to protest against the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s war on Gaza and attacks on Lebanon have been deeply disappointed by his cabinet picks, they tell Reuters.

“Trump won because of us and we’re not happy with his Secretary of State pick and others,” says Rabiul Chowdhury, a Philadelphia investor who chaired the Abandon Harris campaign in Pennsylvania and co-founded Muslims for Trump. Muslim support for Trump helped him win Michigan and may have factored into other swing state wins, strategists believe.

More accurately the genocide started when israel was being established, but it greatly ramped up in 2023. I know you want to take the heat off of democrats, but they are just as complicit in this genocide. Yes, republicans are worse in general, but that does not absolve democrats of giving billions in support of genocide.

You don’t know what I want, and none of that is what I said, but keep pretending whatever approach you’re taking here is helpful, it seems to be helping you sleep at night. No one should be absolved of supporting Israel’s actions in Gaza. We were given 2 options, and I picked the one that I expect to result in less harm. The other option won and will now be in control of what happens to Gaza, and there’s no silver lining in that no matter how bad you want to find one.

The problem is that the conversation is being locked down to which of the two pro-israel parties to vote for. The conversation we should really be having is how to stop support for genocide outright. There are many here smirking at how people can vote for a candidate that would do things against their interests, but the reality is that both parties unconditionally support genocide. People are using the flimsy argument that democrats supposedly offer a kinder genocide, but the biden administration’s actions have not shown that to be the case.

You have a point in that support for israel has been a thing for a long time. If we see the complete annihilation of Gaza, it will not have been through the efforts of a single administration, but rather through a bipartisan tag team of ghouls.
