No, I think they should be shared without bias

Any bias you have is on you. I just shared an article. I didn’t write it.

You’re the type of user to make an entire post about another user and then cut the parts out of your own wrongdoing, I saw that.

Examples? My post history is public. The entire post history of this community is public. And the modlog is public as well. I haven’t hid anything from anyone.

So yeah, I have a problem with the way YOU present information to be biased towards your own opinion.

Then block me. All I do is post the news, I don’t write it. How you view it or the bias you inject into it is your problem, not mine. I literally posted a disclaimer when I posted the article, just so the talk wouldn’t fall into just talking about me. Not my problem if people can’t read the disclaimer.

If you believe any part of the article is inaccurate, I encourage you to reach out to the news organization that published it. If you think the article doesn’t align with the community guidelines, feel free to contact the moderators. Thank you!

You know that choosing to post something represents an active editorial choice though, right?

Your activity in the forum has become the topic of discussion. You can’t wave your hands and say “It’s not me, take it up with someone else”.

So all the 1,000’s of pro-harris that are on there, and the many that get posted daily, those are all “editorial” choices?! LMAO Riiiigggghhht…

I think you should just be prepared to deal with this every time you post bullshit. No one is reaching out to editors for seeing an article on Lemmy. We’re gonna go at the user who brought it here instead.

Exactly my point though. I KNOW you all just go after the user. Think about that for a second. Ever hear, “don’t kill the messenger”?

I would prefer people refrain from personal attacks and stay civil. This is a political news community, and it’s a political news article.

I didn’t write it. So it’s silly coming after me. I didn’t make the news, I posted it. And unless you are all censoring different points of view, I’m not sure why you are so angry.

I’m not even voting for Stein. lmao

There are 1,000’s of pro-harris articles. I promise you guys will be just fine if a few third party articles are dropped in here. It’s not like an article can change the minds of a Lemmy user and make them suddenly stop supporting Harris.

You all need to calm down. lol Some of the comments I get are hilarious. You all act like I am bringing about the end of the world. Trump won’t even win. So calm yourself.

I didn’t write the news guys. It’s already out there for the world to see. And no one in this small Lemmy community is suddenly gonna change their mind over a news article. You’re not losing any Harris votes because I posted an article. :)

I’m actually not angry. Maybe annoyed, how you could tip toe around obvious matters and assert your own reasonings for them while denying upfront evidence. But if I were angry I would have just blocked. I leave you unblocked because I agree and like a lot of the things you posted as UniversalMonk. But with this new moniker you’ve been on a Jill Stein kick and she’s really not a stellar person. Try the community aspects of your ideals, thats what we need right now, grassroots community movements.

Again, I haven’t changed my username. My username is still @UniversalMonk. Look at my profile. These posts are still under the @UniversalMonk username.

Why do you think I have changed my username?!

The only way someone could change usernames is by creating an entirely new account. This is the same username I have used since starting to post on Lemmy. It’s my one and only username.

I seriously don’t understand why you are confused about that or implying that I am tricking someone. I haven’t changed my attitude or what I post.

I’m still @UniversalMonk. It’s right here in my profile under my display name:

You appeared as UniversalMonk before, now you appear as Socialist Berserker… This is what I’m talking about. Insane shit like this. You know you entered a display name you didn’t have before and now your posts show your display name. I know the old ones also show SB now but its still a change you have to be aware of because you made it happen.

I haven’t changed what I post at all. Feel free to check my post history: https://lemmy.world/u/UniversalMonk?page=1&sort=New&view=Posts

And the majority of my posting (over 450 articles/comments) is to socialist sub: https://lemmy.world/c/socialist

Actually you missed a few display name changes. My display name started out as the default username, then when I found out I could change it, I changed it to Socialist Workers Party, then I changed it to Socialst Workers Unite, then I changed it to my current one, Socialist Berserker.

Super easy to do. It takes less than 5 seconds. It’s not tricking or fooling anyone. Lemmy has the feature built-in to it and we are allowed to change our display name.

Guess what? Heads up, I’ll probably change it next time I get bored again. Because I can. It updates all past posts. It doesn’t “fool” anyone and isn’t mean to.

You could change yours if you wanted to. And if you don’t, cool! But to imply that I am trying to fool anyone is silly.

It’s a feature built into Lemmy that many asked for. That’s why it’s a feature.

I’ve always posted third party news. And I will continue to do so. No matter how mad people are. It’s a political news sub, and I have posted political news stories.

Because I’ve posted articles about her? I post articles about all third parties. I don’t write them, I post them. I’m not “tooting her horn.”

I just posted an article about the libertarian party today. Am I “tooting their horn”?

The vast majority of posts I make are about socialism, to the socialist communities (over 450 articles/comments). Feel free to look: https://lemmy.world/c/socialist

That’s tooting a horn, friend. lol

I don’t create the news, I read it and post it. If you don’t like it, then feel free to move on.

A messenger is sent by someone, and is generally unaware of the content of the message - that turn of phrase only makes sense in such a a context.

These outlets didn’t send you here, and you personally chose to post these because their content aligns with your views and goals. You are not “the messenger”.

you personally chose to post these

As do all the people who post the 100’s of pro-Harris articles.

I didn’t write the news. The articles are not hidden.

Do you think that Lemmy users are so weak that me posting a news article is going to change their minds and make them suddenly not vote for Harris?

Stay mad all you want. But this sub isn’t a “OnlyPostProHarrisArticles” sub, nor is it only a “democrat news only” sub.

It’s political news. What I posted is political news.

If you believe any part of the article is inaccurate, I encourage you to reach out to the news organization that published it. If you think the article doesn’t align with the community guidelines, feel free to contact the moderators. Thank you!
