I know it cost money, but consider a flipsky or anothe VESA controller.
It’s pre built with all the ways to mod it and bypass the headache. Also it’s a buy once and never buy again(until it breaks).
Did it make it go faster?
No, but it’s now impossible to crash whilst riding and typing 🥁
Not this model, but the author mentioned another that had configurable speed limits so it might work for that one
