Fetterman ran as someone that actually lived in PA and as not Mehmet Oz. Anything more than that was voters projecting what they wanted to see. Previously Fetterman was a known bully and dumbass in the PA offices he held. Which wasn’t a problem when he was bullying up against Oz. People saw that and hoped he’d be a fighter for them. Best he could do was fight against them though.
No, Manchin is very different from Sinema and Fetterman.
There was no chance of a progressive, or really even a democrat in Manchin’s seat. Manchin never really changed what he was.
