Consolidations of forums onto subreddit style systems including Lemmy. They almost completely replaced individual forums with subtopics.
While Lemmy is still open the consolidations really cut down on the independence of a lot of the older forums or even whole sites.

Current generation wifi 6E and 7 add 6Ghz which offers substantially more bandwidth / speed.
Wifi 7 also allows devices to use 2.4/5/6Ghz at the same time instead of just hard switching between them.
Would be a major setback since 6Ghz allows devices to easily hit Gigabit speeds wirelessly.
Most people complain that many accounts / not knowing where they should create them is the main obstacle to adoption. Creating even more seems worse

You probably need to take a picture, you might be describing that the output is 480i interlaced where every other line is drawn and some modern TVs will render that badly. In which case it is a deinterlacing issue.

If your TV has a crappy upscale then you can look into external hardware, however seems odd this is making it choppy, does your TV have a low latency GAME mode?
I’ll have to check the display mode on the tv and see if any other options exist. I did play it in Fill mode which kept the 4:3 resolution but I feel like that sorta defeats the purpose of using hdmi.
Well no? You are getting a digital signal which will be MUCH clearer than analog RCA… Upscaling / fill mode is the Only way to make it bigger.

It is the dot com bubble all over again, we all know the internet completely transformed the world but during that hyperphase anything with .com was getting money tossed at it.
We are in the same phase with AI. It will likely completely transform tech and medicine and a number of other fields. However 90% of what is being pushed right now is not good uses for it. They are masking the real costs for it. We are likely going to end up with an oversupply of datacenters just like all the unused dark fibre we had in the .com age. It will eventually transform into more useful things but “most” not “all” of it is hype right now.
