I don’t think any country in the world has been in the position America is in. Similar sure, but not the bastion of wealth and power, with a stubborn population. There would be a civil war before they remove democracy. It’s more likely that elections will be a front to the fascist seats of power. The elections aren’t going away. What they mean is a different story.
This has happened plenty of times in other countries. To think it can’t happen here is what is irrational.
