Every “CEO said a thing” is marketing and (almost always; I’m sure there’s one exception… somewhere?) demonstrable bullshit. I wish everyone understood this.
Correct translation to “Microsoft says AI rival Anthropic could have ‘disastrous impact’ on humanity” is “We are behind”!
Seems they are intimidated which is strange because they kind of have government backing.

Company that can’t even maintain their OS properly. Also the company that shelved vine even though it was popular (only to be replaced by tiktok…).
ROFL Microsoft is already a disastrous impact on both computers and the sanity of most computer touchers as it is…They don’t want competition in that space. Granted, Anthropic or any other LLM peddling corpo is going to be a systemic threat to the economy, climate, and critical thinking of addicted users of their LLM bot tools.
