Nah, I prefer Breezy Weather.
I’m a squirrel. The german word for squirrel is Eichhörnchen, which is hard to pronounce for english speakers. The english word for Eichhörnchen is squirrel, which is hard to pronounce for german speakers. And I think that’s beautiful :)

They provide this handy url as well: https://noai.duckduckgo.com/

Go to https://ecosia.org/ in a private browser window. It says “AI that answers to the planet”. Search something and the AI Overview on top is enabled by default.
I use them with AI disabled, but it should be the default setting.
Edit: I just did a couple test searches and didn’t get the AI overview. Don’t know what triggers it.

This is the first time I translated “bless you”. I never knew it was something religious. In german we simply say “health” (Gesundheit) when someone sneezes.

Smashed pasta, now that’s a new meal to try

I want this place to be active, so I post things that might be relevant to others. And the little dopamine boost if I notice that something I posted received some upvotes is nice as well.
Everytime I think there’s nothing going on here, I post something myself. Or if the posts I see are mostly negative, I’ll post something positive. Be the change you want to see.

Exciting thought

I loved the old fediverse report. Ever since the NLnet grant there’s often bluesky stuff mixed in in the fediverse articles. It has changed a lot and it makes me a bit sad.
There seems to be room for a new fediverse report that sticks to reporting on what happens in the fediverse.
https://lemmy.sdf.org/ seems to be down since 7th April, hope it comes back.

PieFed has been mentioned in the fediverse report on connectedplaces.online from time to time. It’s mentioned in an article discussing Discord alternatives. It’s also mentioned in their glossary of social networks:
link aggregator platforms on the fediverse, such as Lemmy and Piefed
Edit: It’s also mentioned in this article by Elena Rossini
