A step in the wrong direction, in my opinion. It’s public, so to hide it behind an api seems misleading.

It’s all public data. Lemmy clients don’t let you see it, though, but there might be some exceptions. Other platforms like kbin/mbin just let you view the votes for any post or comment.
On the bright side, it tells you everything you need to know about these people.
Sounds like they might just be an asshole. Maybe remind them that all of their upvotes and downvotes are public.
To be fair, those Windows directories might have a space in them and break things anyway.

But you’re right about my interpretation. Although, I wasn’t thinking of presidents being adversarial to each I just wasn’t thinking how they’d help each other either.
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks.
Ignoring the current pettiness…
Why should any former president be privy to intelligence briefings?
Biden summed it up pretty well, without actually saying Trump might be a Russian asset:
“I just think that there is no need for him to have the intelligence briefings,” Biden said. “What value is giving him an intelligence briefing? What impact does he have at all, other than the fact he might slip and say something?”
What does this have to do with Tech Radar not using Gbps in the title like they do in the article?
You’re gonna have to go back farther than that.
Wasn’t RFK Jr a Democrat until he got a brain worm?
Perhaps motivated a bit by Trump’s recent bullying by threatening tariffs.
It would be easier to make free trade agreements with other countries if we had free trade within our own country.
It is not different. They used genocide to ethnically cleanse Palestine.
I’m saying this as a warning and that we shouldn’t be dismissive about what just happened - because there could be something more sinister going on.
You seem to be the one wanting to ignore things, not me.
I’m not seeing anything to that effect in that article. In any case, I’m not sure that would prove your point (or mine).
This is definitely not what happened. This was planned all along.
I’m not sure what the endgame is - it could just be a distraction from Musk’s coup, it could be to manipulate stock markets, it could be to destabilize the west, but it’s likely a combination.
Musk and Rubio didn’t need to be confirmed to start wreaking havoc on USAID, which is supposedly out of reach of the federal cabinets, so I think this will only be notable for historic purposes.
And Scott Moe in Saskatchewan.
Ya, I’m just joking about apps, or especially scripts, not handling it properly.
