  • “turning revolutionary”

Please, in the West we’ve had huge societal crisis after crisis, crumbling rights, services, and stability, etc, and nothing has turned revolutionary.

You think people who are willing (if you look at supposedly developed, modern places like the USA for example) to put up with a clearly predatory evil healthcare & police system, fascist government, almost no basic workers rights, disappearing people from the streets into concentration camps, etc etc, are going to ‘turn revolutionary’ over ANYTHING?

We’ve had every opportunity, every chance to stand up and fight for what’s right for us and others, and the best we can do are a few days of mild protests with some cardboard signs (which, given how far we’ve allowed our rights to be eroded are just as likely to land us in jail, or labeled as extremists).

    Turning revolutionary my arse.

  • We must continue to build our defences against US aggression.

They’ve already threatened to invade our allies on multiple occasions recently, and that’s on top of the deeply evil things they’re already doing, both to their own people and to others around the world.

We must take them seriously and protect ourselves.

They will come for us once they’re done crushing their own citizens, and once they’re finished securing their control over the global strategic and industrial resources needed for their future peer wars of domination against enemies and former allies.

It’s sad, I know, but it’s the reality we live in now. We mustn’t live in denial just because the future is scary. They will continue to do evil things like this, and eventually come for us.

  • What I hate most about the Independent these days is that they’re a UK news agency for UK news reporting, but seem to want to heavily report on local USA news now.

Not just big international news worthy stuff, but lots of small local area USA news.

I’ll see some headline that sounds serious, only to open it and find it’s not referring to events in the UK at all, but in the USA, which is entirely irrelevant to me.

Not sure why they pivoted to being a US news company, but I’m sick of it, so they’re on my blacklist now.

  • Did they actually have domestic concerns though?

It looks more like their Dictator wanted to start another war (possibly to distract from his many crimes, or to distract from his domestic racist death squads, or to raise his side’s standing in the upcoming elections, or to distract as he works to rig said election), and did so because nobody can stop him.

It seems to be very effective, people are paying huge amounts of attention to this, especially those who were on his side but starting to rethink their position given the continued fallout of the Files. Many of them have instead focused on him as a strong no nonsense wartime leader, which was, I suspect, the plan.

Anyway, just a reminder that a few weeks ago he also promised to use his military to annex a European NATO nation if it didn’t surrender in full to him and cede itself to be annexed.

Given that he’s started two crazy wars this year already, it would be unwise not to take him seriously when he threatens us directly.

The point being, aside from everything else, Europe must not drop its guard against US aggression. They will eventually turn their military sights on us, and we must stand together.
