Whiteness has directly been used as an oppressive force on a global scale for as long as been an identifiable thing. You can’t say the same about any other color or race.

As long as people in large numbers are actively unifying behind the flag of whiteness and using it to dominate others, I think it’s acceptable to prejudge members of that group.

This is why decent white people should be doing everything they can’t to stop this use of whiteness.

I’m trans, if a large percentage of trans people were unifying behind and using transness to consolidate power to dominate and exploit cis people (in a make believe world where there’s enough trans people to do this), I’d expect cis people to have an inherent distrust of trans people.

Have I not seen both Harris and Walz in rural areas almost every day lately going into small shops and union factories… putting tons of money and energy into swing states and states not normally considered in play for the Democrats? I don’t remember seeing either of them spending much energy going to Manhattan, Los Angeles, San Diego, etc. that I remember. I’ve heard them both talk about rural areas mostly and being incredibly important and listen to their concerns.

The US is huge, they are two people, it’s impossible for them to visit every small town.

The job of CEO seems the far easier to replace with AI. A fairly basic algorithm with weighted goals and parameters (chosen by the board) + LLM + character avatar would probably perform better than most CEOs. Leave out the LLM if you want it to spout nonsense like this Amazon Cloud CEO.

I not sure this is true.

As I understand, humans have an extremely acidic stomach compared to other animals, even carnivores. Our stomach acid is on the level of scavengers, and this is to kill bacteria and parasites in the food we eat. Humans could be more tolerant of spoiled food than most other species.

The modern western diet/lifestyle can damage our digestive tract in ways that affect our pH and microbiome making us susceptible to what we should normally be tolerant of. Anyone taking antacids or dealing with heartburn type issues I would expect to more vulnerable to food poisoning since any pathogens can more easily pass deeper into their digestive tract.

The short digestive tract in a dog is all that is needed to extract nutrients from animal sources, digesting plants requires help from a microbiome and they need somewhere to live and do their work, this is why plant eaters have extensive digestive tracts that are not very acidic so they don’t kill them off. Humans (not sure about other animals) neutralize the “chime” exiting your stomach so that it’s pH is appropriate for the microbiome living in the intestines.

The human digestive tract suggest sit evolved for adaptability, a healthy human can safely eat anything from carrion (not saying it’s fine, just that we evolved to be able to survive it), be a vegetarian, or eat mostly meat and thrive.

Let’s be clear about what this is,

this is the executive branch refusing to put checks on a clearly corrupt and dysfunctional judicial branch. The stability of our 3 branch system depends on the branches being willing and able to check each other. If one branch yields to another, the system fails.

I think the left should take advantage of this. As an anarchist, I’m not a fan of state education, if leftist groups started schools the way the right does, we can turn this on them. Even the threat of doing so might make them reconsider.

In my view, “state” is by definition domination. There can be organization, community, and cooperation though without domination.

I find the idea that all intelligent species have the same dominator instinct driving them to explore, exploit, and colonize to be flawed. Not even all humans have this instinct, it’s just that our western societies are all about domination so we grow up thinking it’s the norm.

State is inherently evil. There is no non-evil way to dominate others.

This is true to some degree, but ignores several important factors, such as

• The electoral system was set up before we were even around with the goal of limiting our power
  • therefore using the electoral system to fix the electoral system is extremely inefficient
• We are subject to extremely effective propaganda and psyops
• There are significant efforts by the right wing to keep people dumb and poor

As expected, the purpose of state is to facilitate relatively safe theft from classes not in control of it, and blocking justice is the primary method.

Rail as part of degrowth is a great idea. Rail as part of expanded exploitation of natural resources is not.

8 billion is unsustainable, our population will decrease drastically in the coming century. We can choose whether it’s via degrowth (a controlled, intentional, intelligent reversal of the economic growth of the last decades) or famine, disease, and war.

I fear you’re right that degrowth will never happen and we’re just going to march toward collapse.
