I think they mean the “superheavy” (somehow a more stupid name than starship) booster rocket is the most powerful. I’m pretty sure by thrust metrics it is. It’s just that the superheavy-starship system can’t put much up in LEO because the starship is huge and heavy on its own.

If you put an expendable second stage on top of the superheavy booster instead of a starship it could put a lot more up to LEO.

One of the concerns I would have with custom ROMs for TVs is that I think a lot of the image processing magic that makes the image look good on these high end displays is done in some proprietary method that the custom ROM wouldn’t be able to use. Either in software or in hardware.

The local version of this in southern California is the Banh Mi, a Vietnamese sandwich on a baguette. Less than 10 years ago you could get a good banh mi for 3 or 4 bucks, and these days even the cheapest I’ve seen are $6.50 and many places are charging over $10 for this perfect sandwich. At least double in under 10 years :(

Gas being a better energy source than batteries in every way except for the health and environmental issues is a real bitch and why this is such a problem. Cords are a hassle and you will need a lot recharging batteries all the time, so you notice the downsides immediately and acutely. These are solvable problems though. Even running an efficient gas generator would be better for the health of landscaping contractors than being around 2 strokes all day.

I thought R2 is pretty much the size of a Honda CRV, much bigger than a Fit. The Fit has very little 2nd row room and a pathetic amount of space behind the seats, about as wide as a single carryon suitcase.

The R3 looked like the size of a Civic (but taller) and I do hope that one can get down into the 20k range, but I’ll be surprised. Model 3 is still nearly 40k at minimum.

What all these articles miss is that the guy made less money working on this case than he did in private practice the year before. Dude was a partner at a law firm, government work doesn’t pay well at all.

Any time I see pictures of narrow SFHs placed so close to each other I have to ask, why they fuck can’t we just build row homes in this country? They save energy, space, and create much more living area in the same lot size. Properly designed row homes don’t even have issues with noise because they’re built with firewalls that are basically the same as outdoor walls between the homes.

A couple were surprising but others seemed obvious in hindsight. Some of these AI models have a really specific vibe that is easy to spot. It can be removed sometimes but if the prompts don’t prevent it, the images tend to have this glow and pop that many real images don’t have. They’re perfectly detailed if that makes sense.

Got 14/20, which I feel pretty good about, but you do this survey every year and it’s gonna keep going lower. I bet even a year ago, most people would be above 75% accuracy.
