I didn’t know about their AOSP contributions, cheers!
Agree on the kernel anti cheat, but those games always seemed unsatisfying, personally

It’s an exciting opinion piece, sure but with the vacuous way everything is organised its impossible for anyone who can competently hold the reins to retain power for any length of time - and that requires someone who can competently lead which seems almost impossible to find in this stupid era.
These are structural challenges requiring massive expenditure over _generations_that are needed to succeed. It’s a perfect example of the extended sequel “this is not fine” comic - not sure I got that link right.

The old one, for sure

Yeah, but after the rootkit fiasco, would you really want to?
Its a real shame the handset market is completely fucked and void of creativity

Eventually that insoluble fiber becomes soluble, right?

One part of this is jurisdiction. I’m being very simplistic here and only have a vague sense of the picture, really (my own prejudice - I find just about everything about meta abhorrent)
They are based in a country that’s solely oritentated towards liberty - not fairness or common sense.
There are other parts, of course, like lobbying, tax breaks and so on, but a big part is because they’re not based in the EU.

I’m not sure where I’m going with this but it’s so humid we don’t even need to shower.
Practically snorkel weather lately

Ha - We’ve got this new hybrid proto-sheep going on. I’ve got one 17 y/o and a 15 y/o and they’re basically thick as two planks, bleat about irrelevant things and shit everywhere, so yeah, I’ve probably got sheep :)
I haven’t seen Germaine in a while but Brett’s doing well. He hasn’t taken me up on the millionaire munchfest or billionaire BBQ though, so it seems like we’re stuck with the 1%ers for a while yet…

Oh, one wish?
That’s hard.
I think I’d wish for humanity to not have insecurities. I figure then we’d just have to figure out how to neuter greed and we’d be sorted from our own annihilation… (and inordinately better off both individually and as a species)

Oh this is easy!
Lasagne - its so versatile. I’d usually keep it realy light on mince and boost the vegetables, though. So many textures and ways to play with flavours, it’d be ages before it got old.
Alone? I dunno. Sleep or gooning, probably
Largest animal: a med-small dog? Like a whippet or something.
I don’t understand the dragonballs stuff. Probably just too them down a hill (we’ve got some really steep streets for this in NZ)

This is a great random question. Me likey

I always used to find the first month in a new job tiring just from the stimulation…

This whole chain of comments had been frankly, amazing

Gosh, they’re burning billions every quarter? Fuck those nerds at meta must be having an absolutely wild time pretending to work on VR…

Yes, that bit is terrifying
Did it cost much?

I never understood if that was directed at the car I just crashed into, or me (as the pilot)

I concur

I’m really struggling but actually doing extremely well, all things considered. We’ve had a hostile takeover so even if I keep my job, it really feels like it’s going to shit. My garage was broken into and my bikes nicked or damaged - that really sucks bug moreso because is my main hobby, exercise and coping mechanism :(
I’m hoping I can order a new mountain bike with a gearbox, so that’ll be really exciting - but it’s ages away at best.
The reality is my family love me and I’m successful, so in real terms, things are good - but I really need to work on my imposter syndrome and inner accuser!
It sounds awfully like “the elements of computer systems” but I still haven’t gotten around to working through it so don’t really know.
