KDE Plasma. It came on my steam deck which was my first intro to it, it blew me away and installed it on my laptop and finally ditched Windows shortly after. Works great for me.

Great on paper but literally not okay to slow down to 35 mph on the freeway … Where most wild animals are hit at night.
Please do the needful.
This one really grinds my gears! I think it’s because the person can’t even be bothered to describe what they want you to do, just go fix it and don’t bother me with any details.
I switched to Kubuntu (KDE Plasma with Wayland turned on) and it’s absolutely wonderful.
The reason there is a “party system” at all is because of our voting system. It forces a two party system and if you don’t listen to the parties you’ll throw your vote away. If we switch to Ranked Choice Voting this wouldn’t be a problem anymore and we’d be able to actually elect the most popular candidate.
Voting gives us no control with the current party system. We need ranked choice voting, end campaigns and advertising. Only 1 website will have the candidates and their platforms, tax funded only, anyone who wants to run can run and ranked choice voting will make the actual most popular acceptable candidate win.
The one on my phone is though? It even knows when it’s wet and won’t charge until it’s dry.
The primary mission was a successful orbital trajectory, the secondary mission was a fuel transfer experiment. For the transfer experiment they had vent the hot gas to get starship rotating for the transfer. They ran out of hot gas which is fine, the trajectory was already set for re-entry. There was literally no risk here and it all went exactly as planned.
Logging in to cancel my switch online right now. I was using YUZU to play games I bought from them, in some cases even more than once. F Nintendo. I won’t be buying a Switch 2.
I haven’t tried it but if it works the same as a mobile OS you long click to select. Single click to execute.
Edit: apparently that’s not how it works. There is a checkbox on every icon that you have to click directly on the check box to select/unselect.
Plex will do all/most of that with no additional hardware required. Just install the app to your smart TV and phones. Best part is when I go to a anyone else’s house it’s as easy as installed the app to their TV and using the QR code on the display to sing in with my phone. Bonus you install the server app to your home computer and put in movies or media you already own there. You don’t even have to install a server for it to use all of the other aggregation features.
It’s not “no one”, Because I left reddit and I left chrome. Lemmy and Firefox!
But yeah not many people will actually do it.
It’s been discovered that nearly all of the OLED panels on the LE model are made by a different company (not Samsung) and they are having high probability of dead pixels on arrival.
The etched screen on the 1TB and OLED diffuses the light and makes the OLED look worse too.
So at this point it would be best to order the 512gb model and if you want more storage just swap in a 2tb SSD instead.
Yeah there is a setting and now when I click links it opens in Firefox. But if you use the Google search widget it still opens in chrome, which is to be expected I guess.
The downloads aren’t unencrypted, you can’t play them with any media player. Only their app can decrypt and play it. Has nothing to do with ripping them all in the month, you can do that without downloading them at all and just stream them to rip them.
The point of limiting it to 30 is to prevent someone from downloading them all to their device and then disconnecting the device from the internet permanently so you can have them forever. You’d have to do some date manipulation too in the operating system to keep the app from knowing your subscription actually expired.
I’d like to believe that enough of us actually stopped using chrome and switched to Firefox the day they made that announcement that swayed them… But in reality I’m sure it was just the bad press and they’re going to try to find a different more sneaky way to do the same shit.
I live in rural Washington too, in the mountains. There was a local ISP that was terrible and amazingly a very small ISP bought them out from Arizona. The first thing they did was start to run fiber to anyone who wanted it. I went from shit DSL to 1gig up and 1 gig down fiber. To top it all off, they’ve lowered my monthly price once and doubled my bandwidth once… Without even asking, I even emailed them to check if my bill was lower and speed was faster and they were like yep! Mind blown.
This is legitimately how it works in the US between insurance and pharma/medical.
I just had a baby and I added up the total bill from the hospital and it was $100,000. We were in the hospital for 3 days. My insurance “negotiated” it down to $26,000, and I paid $3000.
The $100,000 is completely made up from the beginning. Pharma and medical just slap big ass ridiculous numbers down, then the insurance fake negotiates down to a still completely ridiculous number, then that cost has to get eaten by people who pay into insurance, which is basically everyone.
Have you hit a deer before or almost hit them in the dark? Yes absolutely 60mph will shorten your stopping distance and reaction time but not nearly enough. Even at 35mph people hit deer all the time because they typically jump out in front. But much faster than 35mph and even standing still in the middle of the road they’re tough to see and stop for. 60mph, not a chance.
