It’s been fun. I’ve had it for a few months and I love it. Currently trying to figure out why my PDFs get corrupted and how to fix it - I’m pretty sure it has to do with signatures but not completely sure. The other thing is that I was having trouble figuring out how to hibernate my computer, so it was sleeping all the time (except when off or in use), but then one day it just started hibernating. Not sure how that happened.
I chose Fedora with the KDE desktop and it’s great. I’m not entirely sure I understand the differences in the desktop choices but it works for me for now.
I’m trying to get my partner to switch but they’re worried about it not being compatible with/not being able to find suitable replacements for certain Windows software used for work. So basically I just need to get better with Linux before they switch lol
I aspire to be like you! I finally am going to have a DVD player and I am absolutely THRILLED. No joke. It’s going to be fantastic.
Not as fantastic as an old VCR since it’s like 2% harder to fast forward through the ads. But pretty close!

They are all spoken here for sure (quite a large population of people who speak the languages I listed) but what confuses me is the area codes are usually not my region for these calls.

I can’t stop eating them. I prefer their quesadillas over authentic ones tbh. It’s the sauce! And the baja blast!

The only part I’m stuck on is OneDrive, which I unfortunately need. I got access to my personal files but not the shared files. The other part is I still need to download all of my mods…which I am not looking forward to 😆 but let me just say it is so nice to have a computer that actually works! It’s older so it was getting impossibly slow.
Between Linux and the new IRS software I am feeling spoiled.

I spend about 30% of my income on their monthly supplies (mainly food and medications). Probably not the smartest decision financially but I have zero regrets. I love my babies and would spend the whole world’s wealth on them. Which is probably why I am not wealthy 🫣🤑🥸

My house was not that big - maybe 1700-1800sq ft - and our lot size was less than a quarter acre. Blew my mind. (Obviously storms have edges. It was still weird.)
Every party at my last job was a potluck. Except the Christmas party. The Christmas party was secretly mandatory though.
