No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Does Coke Zero taste different in the UK vs. the USA?
3·3 months agoSemi-related - we had salt and vinegar pringles in Europe and they were good, but then when we got back to the US they were just much more intense and flavorful. We did not compare ingredients.
- I don’t have a personal computer, just my work computer right now so I don’t need it.
- I work in graphics so I’m wary that not everything I use now will be available (I know there are alternatives, but they aren’t equal).
- I got a steam deck for my gaming (not my day to day).
- my wife and I use Mac’s and iPhones and I’m worried it’ll be hard for her to switch and the ecosystem is very convent and easy right now.
- I acquired a gaming computer for my kid and promptly put mint on it.
- I only pretend to be technologically savvy and am not confident to answer all the questions my family needs to go full Linux. It’s more at the testing hobby level.
My main reasons boil down to availability of programs, no necessity yet, and ease of the new ecosystem isn’t as simple.

2·4 months agoI don’t have any experiences or thing to say that would be better than what that person said, but some people have had bad experiences in the past that make them act the way they do. If you are able to do things that make you happy and ignore them it is I’ll be better for you.

Not every kid went and partied as a teenager.
You can start with somewhere you’ve already been. You don’t have to hang out there at first. Buy a drink at a small shop or just walk to the library and back( without going in). Go pretend to mail a letter (are postboxes still a thing?). Walk around the block.
Another thing you could do is take the walk first on Google Maps step by step so that you know what to expect.
