What I find very weird tbh.
When I buy pants, there are essentially two measurements:
In-seam length and waist circumference (and usually the manufacturer shows where to measure it in a picture).

So far I had no issues shopping by pre-measuring before doing the online shopping.

My usual strategy:
Go into the store, try it on, note the sizes of the company you want to buy from, buy wherever you want to (if you can, support your local company and not Amazon or adjacent)

So far I had no mice break on me. And my most used buttons on the mouse are probably left, middle and then right clicking (I like opening new tabs instead of going back and forth).

Maybe too much pressure you put on your buttons?
