My iPhone SE is at 68% battery life and 6yrs old. This may the closest we get to a smaller phone. I will likely wait until next year and hopefully buy the version 1 cheaper.

I’ve never understood the purpose of these sheets. Was this supposed to be convenient in anyway other than collecting? Are these pre-scored? If not what happens if you cut these are the wrong dimensions?

People have mentioned a few ways, but you can’t really stop it. They can change it enough to claim it was someone else’s idea. It’s also why you used to see similar movies of the same concept coming out around the same time. An idea people deemed good floated around and studios would race to be the first ones out.

My wife had a bad family life and a bipolar best friend. It was really bad for her, decades later she is much better.

Ultimately what helped her is a ratio thing. She introduced more people in her life that are not assholes. Her father to this day is verbally abusive as an adult, but a lot of the things he says now that would have made her break down as a teenager, now brush off her. This js only possible, because she has plenty of people around her that tell her the opposite.

Building up a community of support is the foundation to a better life. She rarely interacts with her family anymore by choice, but she has plenty of people around her who love her.

At that point wouldn’t it just be easier to resurrect AIM, MSN and other chat rooms? Most of those places has conversations that just went away.

When Digg and later Reddit were created, they weren’t even classified as social media. The term wasn’t really created until a couple years after Facebook opened its doors publicly. These types of platforms were compared more to forums, because of the conversation aggregation. If we create a culture of data deletion, I feel we would just be carving out more paths to the larger companies that are taking digital content away from us, and even destroying physical information for control.

I’m not sure you can make a STEAMpunk genere when steampunk already exists. And trying to make STEM into STEAM when it’s not a common acronym would cause a second layer of confusion. You’d be better off coming up with a new name. On top of that most of the “punk” generes follow a specific age that is driven by the name. Stream, Diesel, Atomic, Cyber, Solar, etc. STEM/STEAM is something that exists across many ages

I may be in the minority, but I do feel like that is teaching people the wrong lesson. People should be thinking before they post and treating this like an open public square. It was one of the first rules of the internet back when it started. People can easily create throw away accounts for questions they are uneasy about a question.

One of the things reddit still has on the fediverse is that they are a repository of free knowledge. If this place is treated like snapchat or instagram stories, then it may never really grow.

Also if the idea is that everything gets purged every year or so because people’s instances can’t handle the data, that’s also fine, but it should be something we become aware is just the culture of the fediverse.

I do think if that becomes the culture, that people would be less likely inclined to interact, post and try to build something that can easily just be taken down. This topic comes up often enough that it does seem to worry people.

This plus batteries are what has me thinking about selling my handheld collections. I have them all out so I can periodically keep them charged. I left my first switch uncharged for 6 months and the battery crapped out so I had to open it up and change it out.

It has indeed started to become a posting dump, with more politics leaning in.

Even outside of the Elseworlds title, Bruce has worn a Green Lantern ring before. It is the reason the Yellow Lantern ring first rejects him.

I don’t really think that would carry over canonically, or else it would but heads with Green Lantern lore. There are multiple people that seem to have more willpower than Bruce Wayne. I think the only argument to Bruce not being a Green Lantern could be that be likes to instill fear, which us a big no no for the GLs.

Given how the modern day stock market works, does it really matter? I’m sure most of us get elated when a headline like this floats around, but unfortunately Tesla is not going anywhere anytime soon.

I can’t see these gaining more popularity over Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo if they are only sticking to do retro. From my understanding, most indie companies want maximum reach for their games, especially for the amount of time and money they put into things.

My question becomes what would limited run games create the games to play on in the future? PS6 will likely not have a physical game option if I had to guess. Nintendo Switch 2 just came out, so that may be the last console to support physical games. I guess we’d be stuck using old machines. Given how powerful current systems are, that may be enough for indie studios.
