At this point, the citizens have lost all power. They elected people based on their promises, which they haven’t upheld. We have no mechanism to remove corrupt officials except violence

Oh, they have upheld their promises - Project 2025’s agenda was in the open well in advance. Too many people actively voted for that - i can only guess at their reasons, but racism and hatred come to mind. And too many people stayed home when they shouldn’t have, closing their eyes to what was happening.

The other option is to boycott everything — bring the entire economy to a halt. Don’t show up to work, don’t shop, block the highways, stop paying taxes, etc. I guarantee the entire situation would be fixed in under a week.

Of course, this requires critical mass. And everyone is so conditioned to get to work on time and not endanger their next paycheck, that it’s unlikely to happen anytime soon. Things will have to get worse before they get better.

The French will shut down their entire country if politicians try to increase the retirement age. Americans witness the collapse of democracy and do nothing.

We need to bring back the old “France Surrenders” meme and replace it with “Americans”.

        “Home of the brave”

        Not anymore.
