Hey folks. Got a pixel 7 pro, and it’s been alright, except suddenly, if I press the fingerprint sensor on the lock screen for just a split second, it makes the WHOLE SCREEN go full-brightness, with a green tinge. I know it’s always lit up the scanner area, which is all it lights up if I hold the sensor, but if I release it early it’s actually very uncomfortable. Any suggestions besides the obvious “don’t let go 5head”? Is this an android version bug, a hardware issue? Anyone else had this happen?
Edit: autocorrect
Edit 2:
If you use an under screen fingerprint scanner, the green tint is probably there to make the fingerprint scanner work. If you release it before it’s done scanning, or only partially cover the scanner, you’ll see the green glow. If scanning takes too long, you can try training it on your fingerprint again (and maybe cleaning the screen).
My phone runs a custom ROM with a bunch of Pixel additions and I’ve noticed the screen going weird lately too. Sometimes the screen doesn’t turn on (but still responds to input), sometimes it’ll light up the entire screen with a white flash when I get notifications, sometimes I just glitches out for a second. Maybe the hardware is dying but I think it’s a software thing, because a forced reboot makes the screen work normal again. I suspect the fingerprint scanner has something to do with it, but because it’s so random I can’t easily reproduce it to verify.
It’s not a green glow. The WHOLE SCREEN flashes green. I’ve noticed the glow where the fingerprint scanner is. This isn’t the issue. It’s also consistent and persistent through reboots.

Dude holy shit if my phone was flashbanging me every time someone texted… Well honestly, I’d be fine, but it’d be in the river just on principle
