I loved using hoppy.network to build a tunnel to my VM on my home server over the last year, but there are better options than 8 dollars a month. The service needs to be available to the wider internet, but run on my home server. I can use Linode to get the job done at 5 a month, but my home server is an 8 core, 16 thread Zen with 24 gigs memory and that’s a single, low-priority Linode instance with less storage than my server has working memory. I’ve considered using Tailscale, but that solution strikes me as hacky. Any suggestions?
