    Edit: I’m an idiot, I confused Mt Krakatoa (eruption 1883) with Mt Tambora (eruption 1815). I sometimes just get my Indonesian super eruptions of the 19th century confused.

        It did? Wikipedia lists it to have been around for way longer, even the modern style seems to predate the eruption
