If you can, self host, there is a docker container as wefwef is open source. That helps distribute the load, and instances will not see tons of traffic coming from a single host (as wefwef proxies all requests).
Wait, wefwef proxies all requests? How is that not a man-in-the-middle attack? Are user credentials being stored by wefwef?
They’ve been working on an update to CORS settings so that wefwef can connect directly to the lemmy instance. Not sure where they are at with that though.
