    I mean, we also have a lot of “papers please” in real life that no one has an issue with and actually serves a useful purpose. So the idea of extending this to the internet is logical and not necessarily a bad thing. It can actually provide something good. HOWEVER implemention is absolute key here, because it’s easy to over reach and collect (and store) way more tha! actually required for simple age verification. Since current tendency among politicians (in all nations) unfortunately leans heavily towards over reaching, as usual we can’t have proper things because the douchebags want to ruin it.

      Actually many of us do have issues with the “real life” privacy issues but many may weight it and consider “age verification” (doxing your personal information when it reliably leaks) to be much worse. No matter the implimentation an illegal access or alternative serivce will be much safer.
