    100% this - Don’t get excited, whenever it sounds like Australia is about to do something good, it’s immediately watered down to a tiny announceable to appease the lobby groups. Most recently example is the 100% renewable energy requirement for datacenters decree that lasted about a week.

      Update, that’s no longer the most recent example - now the 20% gas reservation policy (that was already the very poor cousin of the 25% gas export tax wanted by regular Australians) has been downgraded to ‘up to 20%’ - ie probably zero.
