I’m in Europe (well, the UK) and I definitely want to see Europe develop as much of its own space industry as possible, so Europe doesn’t have to rely on foreign billionaires or dictators for space services.

That makes sense. I don’t know tons about the space industry but I think SLS in America has been very expensive, while private rockets - from morally bankrupt billionaires - have turned out to be much more affordable. Hopefully Europe will have more success with rockets, whether publicly or privately owned, but preferably without the morally bankrupt billionaires.
