      There is a certain kind of MBA business idiot that thinks that the key to increased revenue is increased pricing. They look at something like Netflix raising prices and keeping enough users around to make more money than they did before l, and they think that will work for them. Not realising that whenever a company raises its prices it forces their customers to do a cost benefit analysis, so you better be damn sure you’re offering a compelling product, preferably with nothing in the way of competition.

      Playing the Plex premium or whatever it’s called is neither particularly beneficial nor without competition. Jellyfin exists.
