Have you seen Clerks? It’s an older Kevin Smith film and there’s a lot of memorable lines in it, one that’s stuck with me though is “shit or get off the pot”, also “salsa shark” but that’s unrelated as I’m not dipping tortilla chips right now.
I’ve done and still do what I can activism wise, my gripe has been with people being ignorant to the devestating climate collapse and resource depletion in our near future, and trying to mitigate the suffering by warning people against having kids.
I support activism and think if people have identified a ‘thing that needs to be done’ they should either do it, or stop endlessly talking about how someone else should.
If you’re not going to do it, don’t expect anyone else to. Go be a hero or stop praying for miracles.
I’m sure a supporter of vigilantism would also be looking for good opportunities to act as such.
