Big problems don’t have easy solutions - in this case we can all see what a good action would be (stopping any offensive arms sales to Isreal) but the political situation is such that that’s not going to happen - we tried to make that happen and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who protested the DNC.

Probably like… North Korea - I hold no ill will against individuals there but that country is eventually either going to be a humanitarian crisis with a full government collapse or get twitchy and reignite the unification war.

It’d be a major improvement in the lives of everyone in the region if they were just magically absorbed by South Korea.

But big expansions would be tough: Even if Democrats defy expectations by keeping the Senate, a narrow majority may not be enough to override the filibuster on Harris’ top priorities.

It’s hilariously accurate that even if Democrats had a super majority they’d probably keep the filibuster in place just to keep from accomplishing anything serious.

If Democrats managed to pull out a super majority I’m sure we’d see continued investment into fracking, the firing of Khan, further clamp downs on unions and little progress on labor equity. Isreal would also get noticeably worse.

We’d probably get a national abortion rights law assuming the Supreme Court didn’t rule it violates RANDOM_OBSCURE_LEGAL_THING_THAT_IS_NO_LONGER_RELEVANT. I’m sure they’ll be fair jurists.
