Yeah, I think minecraft is the most expensive game I’ve ever bought, there are just so many good things around that $20 mark. Beamng, terraria, vintage story, hytale, ets2/ats, stardew valley, slime rancher, it’s so much stuff

modern windows tries to trick you into not doing that. if you hold for a little bit it turns the screen off so you think it’s turned off when it really hasn’t, then if you hold a little longer it turns the screen back on and tells you to please stop holding the power button, then finally a little after that the computer actually turns off. why the hardware even makes that possible is beyond me

I use both matrix and discord regularly and matrix is nowhere near a viable alternative for discord, the way they work is just too different. The only real alternative I’ve been able to find is guilded but it’s no better than discord since it’s still completely centralized and closed source

Are broadcast licenses even “very valuable” anymore? I think I know maybe one person who regularly watches broadcast tv. Not that that means he should take them away, I just feel like it isn’t nearly as big a threat he thinks it is

Console manufacturers all just need to switch to displayport to encourage tv manufacturers to do the same. No one’s going to not buy a ps6 or steam machine because they have to use a little dp-hdmi adapter, but they might be a little more likely to choose a tv that doesn’t need an adapter over one that does

Exactly, and you’ll save tons of money too. ETS2 goes on sale for $5, stardew valley for $7.50, vintage story doesn’t go on sale but it’s only $22. All games that are way more fun, way less buggy, and have way more replay value than every piece of triple a junk i’ve played

It’s crazy how bad software compatibility on macos is. I used to assume it was about the same or slightly better than linux in that regard, but my attempts to help my friend play games on macos have almost entirely failed despite the fact that I have tons of experience playing games on linux since it’s always been my main os
