It’s not all their fault, but by God it’d be nice to see them fight the republicans at least as hard as they fight the leftists in their own party.

We’re a looooong way from perfect, I’m asking for the bare minimum to achieve meaningful success.
Well, it’s especially difficult to organize if you don’t try organizing. I’ve got a mind to start doing so myself if I don’t see anyone organizing at the next one.
“He’s giving a message to criminals where our federal officers are,” Bondi said. “…we are looking at it, we are looking at him, and he better watch out, because that’s not a protected speech. That is threatening the lives of our law enforcement officers throughout this country.”’
Actually, I believe it is protected speech. There are apps that let people know where speed traps are. You mean it’s not constitutionally protected to say to someone “hey, did you see the cop down on the corner?” Ridiculous. Of course, what she means to say is that the constitution doesn’t matter and laws are made up now, and they’re just going to do whatever the fuck they want. They’re just not quuuuuite ready to go through the trouble of literally setting the constitution on fire yet.
Boomers in about six months:
“But why would Obama do this?”
50501 needs to start getting people organized. I went to No King’s Day; it was great, really, genuinely great, except that there was absolutely zero organizing to try and get people to push towards achievable goals. It was literally just “hey, let’s all stand around with signs, that’ll show Donald”. If we want to make a difference, we need to get organized so we can start directing people and their resources and energy towards attainable goals and start demonstrating that we can get shit done.
Well, I dunno if I’d agree that it’s booming just yet.
the year is 2025, a Chinese citizen responds to the Tiananmen Square copypasta with a picture of BB Vance and the Alligator Auschwitz copypasta. The American citizen’s internet access is immediately cut off and they are ordered to lay face down outside where the Amazon Prime predator drone can see them to wait for an ICE collection crew.
I mean, they might live a whole other cultural and social experience, but right now the world’s ultra-wealthy are already planning on living out the rest of their years in underground bunker complexes. I really don’t see how that’s a better existence for them and their kids than making 3% less profit and giving just the tiniest shit about the planet.
I feel like that would be, and already is to some extent, both temporary and relative. Windblown microplastics don’t really care if they end up in affluent areas.
I legit don’t get stuff like this. Don’t these mfs have kids? Don’t their kids live on this same planet? Why do you want to make sure your kids get to choke on toxic dust?
I want wealth so I can build a better world for everyone else to live in, like building metro lines and libraries all over my city, affordable, mixed-use housing, and funding clean energy projects. We are not the same
We’ve got a company that comes around and floods people’s yards with Bifen to kill off all the “invasive pests”. I don’t know how many of my neighbors are using them, but I worry that it’s higher than I want to believe.
any luck? I’ve noticed a sharp decline in pollinators over the last two or three years. I DID manage to get some success with the native bees with some guerilla gardened sunflowers, though. That is, until someone cut them down.
This is going to be the breaking point if we actually put boots on the ground in Iran and don’t just engage in drone terrorism and bombing runs. More military action in the middle east is a ubiquitously unpopular platform, and wars that are perceived as pointless have almost always been devastating to ruling party / presidential support. Further, the US military has been struggling to hit its recruitment numbers for years now, and this isn’t going to help that. It also stretches the government’s attention even further, and makes it more vulnerable to dissident activity at home.
Don’t worry, I’m sure he and a few other democrats will be along shortly to censure Padilla like they did Al Green.
I did, while in high school and well before I realized I had ADHD and probably autism too, given the familiar behaviors in my diagnosed kids. That’s relevant because I had to work hard at learning social norms and conventions for stuff like interviews. Wal-mart offered me the job anyway, but I missed out on it because I missed the call and kept forgetting to check my voicemail.
but of course.
